Puiset rannerenkaat löytyivät Kehräsaaren Pikku Putiikeista,
jäljelle jäi vielä monta hienoa väriä...
Ja miksi sitä koskaan on ostanut valmiita kirjekuoria?

Halju, hassu sana

Ylläolevasta turkoosista kiposta anoppi sanoi,
että se ei istu kauttauksiinsa niin kuin sarjan
kolme muuta kippoa, valkoinen, musta ja punainen.
Jotenkin halju. Itse puolestani en kelpuuttanut
astiakaappiini muita värejä kuin tuon, vieläpä
kaksin kappalein.

Tein blogiini pienen muutoksen: jatkossa latautuu
15 postausta ensimmäiselle sivulle, kun ennen niitä
oli 40. Toivottavasti blogin latautuminen nopeutuu
nyt, jos se on jollakulla ollut tahmeaa.

About the cup above my mother in law said, that
it won't fit in to her settings like the other
pieces of the series - white, red and black.
I, instead, didn't qualify any other colours
than this (and I had to have two of them).

Villa Ratamon fiilistelyt jatkuvat!
Olen vähän liian vanha pukeutumaan vaalean-
punaiseen, tai maalaaman seiniä sen väriseksi.
Siksi täytyy metsästää tuota ah niin makeaa sävyä
raparperimehusta ja kissan turkkiin heijastuvasta
auringonlaskusta. (Mutta UFFilla oli viiden euron
päivät ja sieltä tarttui mukaan neule, jossa roosaa
oli liukuvana häivähdyksenä. Aion käyttää
vaikka uskottavuus kärsisi.)

I'm a bit too old to wear pink or to paint
my walls with that color. That's why I have to hunt
for it in rhubarb juice and the sunset reflecting
from a cat's fur. (But there was a 5 euro day in
a local second hand store and I grabbed a knit
which has a hint of rosa. I'm going to wear it
though it may do harm for my plausibility.)

Vihreää, keltaista ja viljan sävyjä.
Sämpylöitä, viiniä ja sisustuslehtiä,
mustikka-apaja ja kissa ja koira. Isäntäväki kantoi
vettä ja rapsutteli ikkunanpokia, me sentään
teimme klapeja ja tyhjensimme yhden liiterin. Suuressa
maalaistalossa aika ei pääse käymään pitkäksi.
Pysähtyikö se?

Green, yellow and shades of crop.
Fresh buns, wine and decoration magazines,
a blueberry spot and a cat and a dog. Our hosts
caried the water in or fixed window panes. We did
some firewood and emptied a wood shed. In a big
country house the time won't worm.
Did it stop?

Olohuone ennen värinvaihdosta

Vanhakaan väritys ei ollut hullumpi, mutta sininen
tapetti ei ollut oma valinta, ja puulämmitteisessä
asunnossa se tuntui talvisaikaan kovin kalsealta.
Harmaanlilan myötä kokonaisuudesta tuli rauhallisempi.
Valkoinen katto moninkertaisti valon määrän -
yllä näkyy vielä palanen entistä puunväristä.

Mitäs tuumaatte?

The old colouring wasn't so bad either, but the
blue wallpaper wasn't our own pick, and as our
flat is heated with wood in the wintertime
(=cold) blue felt too cool. With greyish lilac
the room became more harmonic. The white roof
multiplied the volume of light. Above you can
see a piece of the old wooden colour.

Harmaanlila

Syynä viime päivien hiljaisuuteen on ollut
olohuoneen remontti. Nyt kaikki on kuitenkin
valmista, taulutkin paikoillaan ja katto kahteen
kertaan maalattu. Voitte siis kurkistaa sisään!

Last couple of days I've been quiet due to the
living room redecoration. Now it's finnished,
the roof got another layer of paint and the
pictures are on their places. Take a peak!

Jotakin uutta, jotakin vanhaa

Vanhalla talolla on sielu, ja se syntyy kulumista,
narinoista, menneen elämän merkeistä. Kuitenkin
jotakin tekee mieli myös uusia. Tänä viikonloppuna
olemme maalanneet olohuoneen kattoa valkoiseksi.
Ensi viikolla sinne tulee myös uusi tapetti -> kuva 2.
Miten kuvailisit tuota väriä? Minusta se on harmaanlila.

An old house has a soul, which is born of
detrition, creaking and traces of life that's
already gone. However one sometimes feels like
wanting to renew some things. This weekend we
painted the living room roof white. Next week
it'll also get a new wall paper -> pic 2.
How would you describe that coulour?
I think it's greyish lilac.
